Tan Wei Yang

Wei Yang is a Senior Associate practising with the Corporate & Capital Markets Practice at Chevalier Law LLC. He graduated with an LLB from the Singapore Management University and was called to the Singapore bar in 2020.

Wei Yang has been involved in a wide range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, fundraising exercises, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work.

• Advised a local company in its US$100 million acquisition of the entire shareholding interest of an offshore company from several parties

• Advised an offshore fund manager on its notification as a restricted scheme in Singapore
• Advised a local company on its application for a payment services licence and proposed sale of digital tokens
• Advised a trading company on its sale and purchase of commodities for US$5 million
